Brief

In this internship project, I was mentored by the project manager and senior ui/ux designer. My seniors are involved in this project to work on iteration-1, while I will be prepared for iteration-2 and iteration-3. The work was fast-paced as each iteration was only limited to one week for each iteration.

The project information provided is as follows:

  1. User Flow and Informataion Architecture

The process is done in parallel starting from iteration-1, I have to start preparing iteration-2 and after that proceed to iteration-3. In iteration-2 I will create the events list view and the supporting parts of the events list. Iteration-3 I worked on the login and attendance list views.

  2. Using Bulma Component Framework

The limitation from the developer side is using Bulma components to create dashboards.

  3. Harian Kompas Design System

Apart from using components from bulma, some other components use components from the existing design system in Harian Kompas (For example: typeface, font size and color).

Hi-fi Design

Hi-fi's design process was done immediately after receiving the brief. This happened because at the stage of defining the needs, it had already been done and was very clear so it skipped the wireframe stage as well.

The use of color, typeface and font-size adjusts to the design system of Harian Kompas. The dahsboard theme is minimalistic and clear to facilitate the target users who are mostly millennials. So the design should be kept simple and easy to use.

Presentation

Once the design phase was complete, the next step was to present the designs to the project manager, lead, and developers. This presentation was crucial for explaining the created designs, including the dashboard flow and data flow. It also served as an opportunity to gather feedback and ensure that all team members were aligned with the design direction and functionality.

Documentation

The documentation is organized in the form of a flow with the provision of pointer lines between pages and also brief explanations needed to explain the parts of the dashboard. The purpose of the documentation is to make it easier to read the flow and make it easier for developers to implement the design into coding.
